Huey Lewis is by far the best rocker in this country's history! The best part is that he lives right here in Marin County, California. I drive by his house all the time! Huey combines a great mix of Rock and R&B that bands, I think, like Bruce Springsteen for instance, hail in comparison to. You really have to hear his music to believe what I'm saying. They are very happy, uplifting songs that are easy to get stuck in your head. And what's the best part of all? He was actually IN Back to the Future! That's right, aside from having two hit songs (The Power of Love and Back in Time) in the movie, Huey played the part of one of the "Battle of the Bands" judges in the first Back to the Future. You have to kind of squint and look real hard, but he's there. Huey's been in other movies as well, and in 2000, co-starred with Gweneth Paltrow in the hit movie, "Duets." It was an absolute blast to see him in so much of an acting role. He was pretty good, even though he's been quoted as saying, "My acting career is a lark." Huey Lewis has been continuously topping the adult contemporary charts and been a near-household name for almost 20 years. He truely is an inspiration to myself and others around the globe. WE LOVE YOU, HUEY!!! |
